Lifebooks is an independent bookshop which serves the communities of Romiley, Bredbury, Woodley and Marple, as well as providing resources for churches from the surrounding areas.

We stock a wide range of bibles, commentaries, daily reading notes and our books cover subjects such as marriage, raising children and everyday problems faced by many of us today. In addition we have an extensive range of greeting cards, gifts and music; there is something for everyone, both young and old.

An inspiring gem.Every now & then a film, a book, a picture or a piece of music
will take us by surprise, with breath taking beauty, or brilliant insight.  This
is what 'The Grace Outpouring' did to me.  I had been given it for Christmas by
a friend and because the cover talked about a 'house of prayer' (a phrase which
always stirs me) I let it jump to the top of my reading list.  From the first
chapter I was gripped and I gobbled up the whole book as quickly as I could. 
It's a book about the power of blessing and the extraordinary things that happen
in God's Presence.  It's packed full of simple but exciting stories, and what's
perhaps most exciting is that it all took place in a humble little retreat
centre on the Welsh coast, not far across some distant part of the world, but in
the UK in an unglamorous location a few hours drive away.

I would love everyone at St Chad's to read this book, because I believe it can stir in us hope for what God can do here in Romiley and inspire  us to keep blessing our community & pursue God, asking for more of his  Presence. Richard Pennystan
