Romiley Lifecentre is a registered charity and a limited company that was set up to provide a range of support services for local families, including marriage guidance, counselling, a stay & play area, a Christian card and bookshop, meeting rooms and a beautiful coffee shop/drop-in-cafe.

 

The Lifecentre is an initiative of the local church St Chads, in recognition of the need to support family life.

Throughout each week, we have different groups using our space and you can find out a little more about them below.

 

Alzheimer's Drop-in Cafe

Every Thursday (Term time)

Join with others who have Alzheimer’s and those who care for others with the condition. Here to provide help and support. Just drop in for a cuppa

Every Thursday 2.30-4pm in the Life Café

CAP Money Course

Duration: 3 weeks

A free, short course that makes managing your money simple. Run throughout the year, one evening a week for 3 weeks.

Early Essentials Stockport

We coordinate, create and pack the most beautiful moses baskets full of essentials items for the period immediately after birth to the most vulnerable new mums and their babies in Stockport. We have close links with health and social care professionals and care passionately about providing every mother in Stockport who has nothing with what they need.

Emergency food for local people in crisis (a project seeded by The Trussell Trust).

Established for 15 this is a self help depression group run by people with depression for people with depression.

Every Wednesday (term time) 9.30am-12.00pm.

 

No appointment required - just drop in.

We're here to listen when you feel the need to talk.

The Sanctuary

Prayer Space

The Sanctuary is a prayer space for anyone and everyone to feel free to use. Its a peaceful space for you to come and pray, to rest, or to just be still. We believe prayer works, so whatever is going on in your life or on your mind why not come and try it out!

Red Box Project

The Red Box Project provides free menstrual products to any young person that may struggle to access them.  

Due to collaborative campaigning the government in England have followed in the Welsh and Scottish government’s footsteps will now provide menstrual products in all schools and colleges across the country.

Romiley LifeCentre are still a collection point for menstrual products which are distributed through the Foodbank & Pantry systems - addressing period poverty is still on our agenda.
